I am Jenn and I am in love with life. I love to learn and grow, I love yoga, pilates, nutrition, massage, elephants and nature. I enjoy a good challenge and I am deeply passionate about assisting others in remembering how to fall in love with themselves. I have a special place in my heart for working with people who struggle with addiction. They are the sweetest souls. I am fascinated by the human body, the way it functions and how our mind and emotions play such a huge role in our over all health and well being. I am kind of an anatomy nerd, I get really excited about muscles, bones and connective tissue. I am in a serious relationship with my yoga mat, It has been my best teacher and guide. I am pretty sure I married the most amazing man on the planet. He is my best friend, my soul mate, my lover. He truly makes my heart sing. I have two beautiful children that keep me on my toes at all times. They are an extension of my heart and the greatest gift I could have been given. Did I mention I am in love with yoga? Yoga for me is not form of exercise, it is my way of life. It has awakened my heart, deepened my love and awareness of who I am and what I have to offer, enhanced my connection to others and reconnected me to the earth and the balance of life. It is my guide book. I LOVE food! I believe food is love and I love to Nurture and nourish myself, my family and my friends with delicious healthy foods. I eat a mostly plant based diet and have learned that healthy actually can and should taste good! If it doesn't taste good I won't eat itI I love ayurveda! It is the science of living life in balance and in harmony with nature and the seasons. I have struggled with digestive issues and food allergies and have found that ayurveda has been the best tool in learning to listen to what my body needs and how to eat intuitively. I love pilates! It makes me feel deeply connected to my core and creates a sense of stability that I haven't found in any other form of exercise. I love the color red, I love indian food, I love the smell of sandal wood, I love to be bare foot, I love tattoos, they all have a story to tell, and I am a pisces...Thats me in a nutshell... As far as my professional back ground..
I am a NCBTMB certified LMT. I began massage school at Renaissance college of massage in 2007 while 7 months pregnant with my little boy graduating 10 months later with a 3.9 average. I fell in love with massage but felt as though there was more to what I wanted to offer. I had been practicing yoga on and off since the time I was 19 and after massage school really started to understand the benefits of yoga physically and emotionally. As a result, in 2009 I began my RYT 200 at Infusion yoga and Pilates with Corena Hammer. I had no idea the profound results I would experience in my life. I am in deep gratitude for my teacher and my friend for dedicating her time and her heart to share her vision and the wisdom of yoga. I have been teaching Yoga at Infusion since 2009. I began my RYT 500 in 2012 apprenticing with Corena Hammer and completed my 500 hr in 2013. During this time I was able to teach portions of the RYT 200 trainings, run a handful of workshops, assist in writing portions of the +300 hr manual and teach the workshops corresponding to the content I provided. During August of 2012 I began Training in the Rolf method of Structural Integration at Structura Body Therapies in South Ogden, Utah. This is a method of massage focusing on fascia and postural alignment. I wanted to learn more about alignment and functional movement and this training provided that opportunity. I completed my training in November 2012 and continued working and practicing Structural at Structura until March of 2013. I still felt as thought there was one more piece to the puzzle. Nutrition has been such a huge part of my journey and I felt that I wanted to be able to offer people coaching from all aspects. As a result of this I began My health coaching training at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in September of 2013. I believe that living to our fullest potential requires working with all aspects of life, Mind, Body, Spirit. I am deeply passionate about meaningful relationships, to ourselves and others, about living a blissful life, about connecting to the earth and all life around us. It is my dharma to assist others in returning home to themselves. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to learn a little more about me.
